Kids should be kids....or should they?!

So real life can be too much sometimes. I'm currently hiding in my daughter's room while listening to my children running after each other screaming (playing some form of game while sounding like a pack of elephants being unleashed). They are having a blast....I am not. It's one of those times where they aren't hurting anyone, so should I really stop their playing?! Yes, I find it annoying and WAY too loud...but am I just being over sensitive? Sometimes it's hard to know what to do. I want them to play and be kids because I feel like kids now a days are asked to grow up too fast. But I want them to be respectful too. What do you think about this? Should kids be allowed to play however they like as long as they aren't hurting anyone or anything or should the be reigned back?!
